Masters of Public Health (Health Administration) – Interview Experience

On the second day of TISS interview, we interacted with another student from the course, Masters of Public Health (Health Administration). She has done her graduation in Dentistry. She shared her interview experience with us.

There were altogether three panelists. The session started with an extempore round where she was given a topic “Health Care and Economy”, with a time duration of 1 minute to prepare and 2 to 3 minutes to speak.

As soon as she finished, they started with interview session. Following are the questions they asked: –

  1. Where do you live and what your district is famous for?
  2. What part of the course content you are interested in?
  3. Headquarters of WHO ( regional too).
  4. Why do we need an international organization like WHO, when each country has their own?
  5. Roles of WHO.
  6. Important programs by WHO.
  7. Where do you want to work, in India or in Geneva?
  8. What is your view on India’s vaccination policy?
  9. Urbanization and health issues.
  10. Effect of pandemic on it.
  11. How did Kerala treat it’s migrant workers during the pandemic?

(Note: As she mentioned about WHO in her DAF, hence the questions.)

She said that the panelists were very helpful and helped her to relax and in becoming calm. They didn’t ask much about her biosketch or from it.

Her interview continued for 20 to 30 minutes approximately.
