On the third day of TISS interview, one of the students of Social Entrepreneurship shared his interview experience with us.
As soon as he entered into the session, they were reading his DAF. One amongst the three panelists asked him to tell about him in 1 minute. After that they explained him the rules of extempore round. His topic was “Importance of entrepreneurship in primary and secondary education”. As usual, the time duration of 1 minute to collect the points and 2 to 3 minutes to speak was assigned.
They his interview round started. Following are the questions asked to him: –
- If you have done Bachelors in Financial Market, then why social entrepreneurship?
- What did you learn in the projects as an entrepreneur?
- If you have to go back to continue those projects, how would you tackle the challenges associated to it?
- What did you do in your gap year? ( he mentioned about it in his DAF).
- How did you assist your father in his business?
- If you had an option to pursue business enterprise, would you prefer to do it over social enterprise and if yes then why?
- What other course have you applied for?
- As you have chosen climate change as your second priority, would you be building your venture around it or something else?
- Do you have anything to ask from us?
The panelists were cooperative, according to him.
His overall interview was around 20 to 30 minutes.

What is Course Specific Module?
It is one of our value proposition of TISS OPI & Extempore Course. We provide course specific content so that one gets in depth knowledge of the subject matter covering all the aspects of the course,it is done to enhance one’s knowledge in the subject which will be of immense help in Interview and Extempore.
What is DAF Class?
Detailed Application Form(DAF) is the form the aspirant submit to to TISS after they clear the cut-off which gives the complete brief of candidature and interest ,reason to join the course & work experience (if any). As it is the steering wheel of your interview.Classes will be conducted classes to help student write a good DAF.
How will the classes be conducted?
Classes will be conducted live on secret Youtube Streaming,Zoom or GMeet according to the schedule shared prior to the class. The classes will be recorded so that students can watch it later if they miss or they want to go through it again. Live classes for Interview Preparation and Extempore will be conducted.
What is Online DAF Evaluation?
Apart from conducting classes for DAF,evaluation of DAF draft will be done live on one-on-ne basis and required correction and improvements will be suggested. Once, the final draft is ready , we will re-evaluate and then give you heads-up for submission to TISS.
What is Extempore Session?
Extempore is a speech given at the spur of the moment without any prior preparation. Candidates will be given few minutes given to prepare for a topic. You will get 5 Extempore chances to make you accustomed with it with evaluation.
Note: Extempore has 20% weightage in final selection
