Master of Public Health (Social Epidemiology) – Interview Experience

A student, who had appeared in the TISS interview for the course, Social Epidemiology, shared her interview experience with us for the same. She has done her graduation in MBBS. Here’s what you should know about her experience.

Extempore topic: “Violence against health care workers”

Question asked to her during her interview round are as follows: –

  1. About 20 point program.
  2. Role of public health service workers.
  3. Health indicators.
  4. IMR, NMR – early and late NMR.
  5. Odds ratio, positive predictive value, negative predictive value.
  6. You are a senior medical officer. There are 10 patients coming to you and their hemoglobin level is an average value of 10 and standard deviation of 3.5. So how would you interpret that. What will you tell your juniors about that?

Her interview went for around 15 to 20 minutes.
